Hello, my name is Renata. I am from Leicester, in the midlands of England and I have also lived in Bristol and London.
My first job teaching English was at the foot of Mount Etna, in Catania, in Sicily. I also taught in England before travelling to Asia and then to Australia, where I taught in Sydney. I then worked in media production for nine years. After I completed my degree in Communications and two Graduate Diplomas, one in Adult Language and Literacy Teaching and the other in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), I returned to teaching and spent six years working with migrants and refugees. I wanted to return to Europe, which I missed very much, so when the opportunity arose, I moved to Russia for a year and taught English in Moscow, an amazing experience! My goal was to work in Spain so I spent a year teaching in Zaragoza before moving to Tarragona. It is an absolute pleasure to live and work here.
When I am not working, I love reading, cooking and walking. I am also beginning a terrace garden. I can spend hours wandering around the city and enjoy making up new recipes inspired by the fresh produce available here. I am also learning Spanish and will hopefully start learning Catalan very soon.
