Cambridge English Centre offers courses to children aged 5 and upwards. All our teachers are native English speakers and are qualified and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language. Our groups are small, with a maximum of twelve students per class.
We use a communicative method of teaching, so our students always need to speak in English during the classes, with the teacher, in pairs or to the whole group.
We follow a grammar and vocabulary syllabus in line with the levels of the official Cambridge exams. Our aim is for all our students to reach the level of Cambridge First Certificate by 4th ESO or earlier, giving those students with a higher level time to get the Cambridge Advanced or even Proficiency (C2) certificate before starting university.
All our students have homework to do every weekend and at the end of each term, they do an exam to check they are following the study plan well or to identify any problems. Parents of students in Kids and Teens groups receive a report every term with their marks and a comment on their progress. In addition, twice a year, parents can attend a personal tutorial with their child's teacher. We measure our success in that of our students and do everything we can to help them reach their goals.

KIDS’ CLUB
A weekly hour-long class for our youngest students (I5). Like all our courses, this class is given completely in English and strong emphasis is placed on the acquisition of vocabulary and speaking.
KIDS
From 6 years old, our students do two one-hour classes per week. While emphasis is still placed on oral communication, students begin to study English grammar, which will help them to have a greater understanding of how the language works and to become more proficient and confident users of it. The Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) tests - Starters, Movers and Flyers - are introduced at this stage, giving even our youngest students tangible goals in their language learning and helping to keep them motivated.
YLE
The Cambridge Young Learners tests have been designed especially for children and use topics they are familiar with. All of the exams cover the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Students move through the three levels: Starters, Movers (A1) and Flyers (A2). They are an excellent way for students to gain confidence, improve their English, keep motivated and see the progress they have made. Cambridge English Centre students are normally offered the Starters exam in Kids 4, Movers in Kids 5 and Flyers in Kids 6, before moving on to the KET/PET.
