Cambridge English Centre offers courses to children aged 5 and upwards. All our teachers are native English speakers and are qualified and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language. Our groups are small with a maximum of twelve students per class.

A weekly hour-long class for our youngest students (P5). Like all our courses, this class is given completely in English and strong emphasis is placed on the acquisition of vocabulary and speaking.

From 6 years old, our students do two one-hour classes per week. While emphasis is still placed on oral communication, students begin to study English grammar, which will help them to have a greater understanding of how the language works and to become more proficient and confident users of it. The Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) tests - Starters, Movers and Flyers - are introduced at this stage, giving even our youngest students tangible goals in their language learning and helping to keep them motivated.

The Cambridge Young Learners tests have been designed especially for children and use topics they are familiar with. All of the exams cover the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Students move through the three levels: Starters, Movers (A1) and Flyers (A2). They are an excellent way for students to gain confidence, improve their English, keep motivated and see the progress they have made. Cambridge English Centre students are normally offered the Starters exam in Kids 4, Movers in Kids 5 and Flyers in Kids 6, before moving on to the KET/PET.
